Peppermint is one of our best sellers here at Ogam and we use it quite often in our well-known blends such as Decongest and Spiderz. It is revered for its effects on both body and mind. On the physical level, it can help open up the lungs and calm an overworked body. It is used often in the autumn and winter months to help soothe the lungs and clear nasal pathways to give us ease of breath. Refreshing to the body and spirit, peppermint can ease tension and lift dull or hazy feelings. A useful staple to your home collection, it can sharpen the mind and help bring us right back into the present.

Peppermint is more commonly used in dental paste due to its refreshing properties. We also like to use it in our hair treatment as it can lift and nourish a dry scalp. We simply add a few drops to our shampoo or conditioner.

Peppermint counteracts the effectiveness of homeopathic remedies. It should be avoided by insomniacs and late in the day as it refreshes the mind and wakes you up.
